Welcome to the Visa Information page. Please follow the directions, complete the form with the correct information and return it to the Consular Office after meeting the below requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Fill in and sign the Visa Application form
- Enclose two recent photos with white background size 3.5 x 3.5 cm
- Enclose passport with at least six months validity
- Enclose the appropriate Visa Applicable fee (details mentioned below)
Note: Diplomatic/Official passport holders, UN Officers, ICRC Employees, Indians and Pakistani nationals are exempt)
- For employment purpose please ask the Employer to send a letter to the MoFA-Kabul. The embassy will be advised to issue visa after MoFA's processing/instruction.
- Tourists should state in details the nature of tour and places intended to travel in Afghanistan
- Media personnel/journalists are required to provide an introduction letter stating the purpose, duration and places intended to visit in Afghanistan. (Media journalists must contact Press Office of the Directorate of Media Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, located at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Char-rah e Malik Asghar, Shah Mahmood Ghazi Wat, Kabul – Afghanistan.)

Note:
- All non-resident ambassadors will be issued One-Year Multiple Entry Visa
- All non-resident diplomats will be issued Six Months Multiple Entry Visa
- All South-Korean and Africans citizens should apply for visa through their respective Embassies/High Commissions in Islamabad – Pakistan
The Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad can issue following visas:
• Single Entry Visa with three months of validity and 15 days duration of stay.
• Tourist Visa with three months of validity and 15 days duration of stay.
• Three Months Multiple Entry (Business Visa Only if a recommendation letter from MoFA is attached).
• Six Months Multiple Entry (Business Visa Only if a recommendation letter from MoFA is attached).
• Six Months Multiple Entry for Diplomats other than Head of Missions.
• Media Visa with three months of validity and 15 days duration of stay.

All fees must be paid in cash against an official receipt to the Visa Section.

VISA PROCESSING DURATION:
• All visas can be processed within two working days only if the required documents are provided and that the terms and conditions are met.
According to instructions received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, henceforth for those Afghans and persons of Afghan origin that hold foreign passports and wish to visit Afghanistan, visa will be issued to travel to Afghanistan free of charge.
